Jeffrey G. Schneider AIA is the principal of a small architectural practice whose goal is the creation of high quality, thoughtful designs that reconcile contemporary lifestyle requirements with the inherited wisdom of centuries of good building practice. He believes the architectural fundamentals of scale, proportion, light, and materiality are enhanced by our contemporary technologies, not superseded by them. He is a firm believer that the best architectural solutions are a combination of the client’s programmatic desires including lifestyle, budget, and schedule, working in concert with the particularities of a specific site. A successful architectural solution not only satisfies the necessities of a given program, it resides harmoniously within its landscape and evokes a sense of wellbeing and delight.
Jeffrey was born and raised in Westfield, New Jersey and currently resides and practices at the New Jersey Shore and in Burlington, Vermont. He descends from four generations of dock builders.

Jeff Schneider Architect, Bay Head, New Jersey. 2003-present
Having worked as an architect, house carpenter, and dock builder in coastal New Jersey for twenty years, Jeff has developed a seasoned and unique understanding of what it means to live at the shore. This knowledge of the local environment has informed his residential designs and facilitated the potentially complicated process of realizing a building project from the initial concept to completion of construction.

1999-2003 Jeff’s experiences working with John Lederer AIA have brought him in contact with demanding clients and the most highly skilled builders.
